Entity Render Distance

Quick simple mod allowing to change entity render distance.

**Client-side only**, it also works on server worlds.

Allows for either fixed render distance (calculated in blocks) or multiplying vanilla render distance. It's set in mod options instead of default game options.

  • Vanilla entity render distance is dependent on entity size. Bigger entity like cow will be visible from further away than chicken or items. Also it's stupid to calculate and i don't like it.
  • Fixed render distance is the same for every entity type, no matter the size. It's set with precise distance.

Notice

This is 100% client-side mod only. It doesn't change mobs logic, so far away mobs will still despawn, no matter the entity render distance.

Compatibility:

Mixins into:

  • Entity.class into shouldRender method
  • WorldRenderer.class into addParticle method
