NexusSync is a lightweight, zero-setup client-server mod synchronization mod for NeoForge. It enables players to connect to modded servers seamlessly by automatically downloading, updating, or removing mandatory and optional mods with server-side blacklist protection.

✨ Features

• 🔄 Automatic Mod Synchronization: Automatically compares local client mods with the server manifest and downloads missing or outdated mods directly from Modrinth CDN, CurseForge, Google Drive, or custom links.
• 📦 Optional Mods Support: Allows server owners to specify client-side optional mods (e.g., performance, visual effects, mini-maps). Checkboxes default to unchecked so players only download what they choose.
• 🧹 Automatic Cleanup: Safely detects and removes old or deleted mod versions on the client to prevent mod duplicate crashes.
• 🛡️ Server-Managed Blacklist: Server admins can configure forbidden cheat mods and resource packs in blacklist.json. Rules are streamed directly from the server to protect server integrity.
• ⚡ Zero External Launcher Setup: Works right inside standard Minecraft without needing third-party modpack updaters or launcher configurations.
• 🔄 Hot-Reload Support: Use /nexussync reload on the server to immediately re-scan mods, update the manifest, and refresh the MOTD without restarting the server.

🚀 How It Works

For Players

1. Add the server to your multiplayer server list.
2. Click Join or the Sync button next to the server entry.
3. If mods need updating, review the confirmation screen and click Download & Restart.
4. Once completed, your game will be completely up to date and ready to play!

For Server Administrators

1. Install NexusSync into your server's mods folder.
2. Start the server. NexusSync will automatically scan your mods, resolve download links via Modrinth/CurseForge APIs, and generate mods/nexussync/config.json.
3. (Optional) Edit config.json to configure optional mods, server-only mods, or custom download URLs.
4. Run /nexussync reload in-game or in the server console to apply changes instantly.

⚙️ Configuration & Commands

• mods/nexussync/config.json — Server manifest config separating mandatory, optional, and server-only mods.
• mods/nexussync/blacklist.json — Server-side anticheat blacklist for blocking banned mods and x-ray packs.
• /nexussync reload (Permission Level 2) — Re-scans server mods, updates manifest, reloads blacklist, and updates server status dynamically.

🔒 Network & Privacy Disclosure

NexusSync performs network requests exclusively for mod synchronization purposes:

• Queries the Modrinth API (api.modrinth.com) to resolve authoritative download links by SHA-1 hash.
• Queries CurseForge / Direct URLs / Google Drive links explicitly provided in the server administrator's config.json.
• Does not collect, track, or transmit any personal player data or telemetry.
