Quartermaster

Quartermaster is a mod that adds a lot of new ways to fight, adds treasure to be found, flintlocks, weapon inspection, weapon customization and some small changes to protections!

This mod was made for the Apostasy SMP, using it's own config of Enchancements. This mod was designed for that PvP enviornment, and may feature some balancing issues outside of it.

The New Weapons

Quartermaster adds 5 new tiered weapons, and one unique relic weapon. All 5 of these new weapons also come with a "Relic" tier.

The "Relic" tiers are obtained through finding Ruined Handles in buried treasure OR archeology. After brushing it off on a grindstone, You'll get a Relic Handle, which can be used to craft the new tiers of weapons, and the Rapier.

The Cutlass

A sword weapon with lower damage, and slightly faster speed. A pirate's favourite weapon, using the power of confusion and unsteadiness in your opponent to catch them off-guard, and get a few free hits.

The Cutlass allows you to Disarm players and mobs, making them unable to attack you, instead pushing you away for a short time. This disarm is triggered when getting a Combo on the opponent, with each tier requiring more hits to disarm (Wood requires 7, Netherite/Relic requires 3.)

*Fling*: Upon disarm, makes mobs drop their weapon; and makes Players get their weapon moved to the next free space in their inventory.

The Estoc

A sword-like weapon similar to the cutlass.

The Estoc is a weapon used by the most precise warriors. The Estoc's Attack Cooldown is stored when stowed away; meaning you can hit instantly after pulling it out.

Not only that, but hitting enemies further than 2 blocks with the estoc applies Wounded to the enemy.

The Morningstar

A simple axe-like weapon, with more damage and slightly slower speed. will disable shields for longer when falling from a high place, while cancelling fall damage on hitting a shield.

*Homerun*: While this enchant originates from The Morningstar, It is available on every weapon. Simply replaces Knockback with Knockup when doing critical hits on grounded enemies section.

The Warhammer

The Warhammer is a very heavy weapon, slower yet stronger than the morningstar. The Warhammer has a new right-click ability, creating a shockwave that damages players and disables shields.

*Siesmic*: Replaces the flat 4 damage dealt by the shockwave to 2x the weapon's damage; at the cost of making the wind-up time 3x longer.

*Glacier*: Freezes all players hit.

*Heatwaves*: Lights all players hit on fire.

*Earthquake*: Stuns all players hit. Read more about stuns in the effects section.

*Pull*: Hit enemies are pulled towards the player.

The Greataxe

The Greataxe is a heavy weapon with the same stats as the Warhammer. The Greataxe does not disable shields, rather doing 25% of it's damage through shields. The Greataxe also comes with a new right-click ability, allowing for a projectile similar to the Rude Buster from DELTARUNE to be thrown. It deals 75% of the axe's damage, and can be combined with itself from other players to become bigger and deadlier.

*Charged*: Adds 3 charges to the Projectile, but lowers its damage.

*Buster*: Increases the damage of the projectile, but makes it slower. Also disables the ability for the Axe and Projectile to go through shields.

New Enchants

Armor

These new Protections are designed for multi-enchant enchancements. They may not be perfect for single-enchant enchancement, or vannila PvP. 2 new "Utility" protections, and 3 new "damage" protections:

  • Frost Protection
  • Stun Protection (Stunned, Disarmed, Wounded) and:
  • Magic Protection (Greataxe, Potions, Tipped Arrows)
  • Impact Protection (Maces, Spears, Fall Damage)

Pickaxe

*Excavate*: Breaks blocks significantly faster, but no block drops.

Axe

*Takedown*: Replaces breaking shields with a significantly shortened disarmed.

*Splinter*: Applies to stacks of wound on shield disable, and makes shield disable shorter.

Shield

*Shield Bash*: Allows you to do a short dash forward. Any enemies hit gain Stunned.

*Brittle*: When hit, will knock the player back depending on the damage dealt.

Trident

*Hellfork*: Lights players hit on fire.

*Tidal Chill*: Freezes players hit.

*North Wind*: Spawns a wind charge where the trident hits.

Bow

*Chill*: Freezes players hit.

Sword

*Singlehanded*: Deals 2 extra damage when not holding an item in the off-hand.

*Bladedance*: Deals 2 extra damage to in-air enemies.

Elytra

*Explosive Kinectivity*: Blows up the player when they die to kinetic damage.

Effects

Stunned

Fully disables the player's vertical movement, and impairs their horizontal movement.

Disarmed

Makes players unable to attack, instead knocking players back depending on the damage dealt on hit.

Wounded

Deals damage over time when more or equal to 3 stacks are applied.

Yarrr!

Can't forget about pirates now, can we?

Well... okay... I may have forgotten about the pirates. Right now, the mod only includes a Flintlock with some custom loading and shooting animations, but more ranged weapons and treasure-hunting content is soon to come! Flintlocks can be found in buried treasure chests and can be loaded with Ammunition.
