Quick Start

A client-side utility mod that lets you launch and stop your local Minecraft server directly from the game.

Features

  • One-click server control — Start/stop button on the multiplayer screen
  • Pause menu button — Mini control button (▶/…/■) on the pause screen
  • World selection — Pick which world the server loads before starting it, or add a new one by typing a name
  • Lock and delete — Lock a world so it cannot be deleted by a misclick, or delete one after a five second countdown; deleted worlds go to the Recycle Bin together with their nether and end folders
  • No OP setup — The mod registers you in ops.json before starting the server, but only when nobody is registered yet
  • Clean shutdown — The stop button sends /stop, so the world is saved instead of the process being killed
  • Auto localhost — Automatically adds localhost to your server list
  • Confirmation dialog — Optional confirmation before stopping the server
  • One file per loader — One jar covers Minecraft 1.20.1 through 26.x on Fabric, and 1.21.1 through 26.x on NeoForge

How it works

  1. Place the mod in your mods folder
  2. Open the multiplayer screen — you'll see a "Start Server" button
  3. Pick a world, and the mod sets it in server.properties and runs your server start script (.bat or .sh) in the game directory
  4. Once the server is running, the button changes to "Stop Server"
  5. In the world list, the lock button keeps a world safe from deletion — press it again to unlock
  6. The trash button starts a five second countdown, shown as a gauge; press it again within those five seconds to call it off, and the world goes to the Recycle Bin when it runs out

Requirements

  • Fabric Loader, or NeoForge

Windows (.bat) and Linux / Mac (.sh) start scripts are both supported; Windows is what the mod is developed and tested on.

Quick Start
