Screencopy
Requires Cloth Config and Fabric API (if using fabric)
This is a client-side mod that lets you copy screenshots to your clipboard, you just need to press F2 like you usually do in Minecraft.
It works in macOS, Linux (X11 or Wayland) and Windows that uses x64 or arm64. Also there is a config file for not saving the file to the screenshots folder if that's your preference!
This mod shouldn't be incompatible with any mod (including optifine) but do report it in the issues section ;)

How to install Screencopy?
Install Fabric for your Minecraft version, download Screencopy for the same version and loader, put the file into the mods folder and launch the game with the loader profile.
Which Minecraft versions does Screencopy support?
Screencopy has builds for Minecraft 1.17–1.17.1, 1.18.1–26.3.
Is Screencopy needed on the server?
Client only — no need to install it on the server
