voidblades
a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that replaces the blade/head of netherite weapons with an animated end-portal void texture, while keeping a custom teal/green hilt. Supports the netherite sword, spear, and mace, atm.

At a glance
Install in the game only; not needed on the server
replaces the blade and head of netherite weapons with a live end-portal void texture, as if the weapon is a window into the void itself.
Features
- Netherite Sword — the blade is replaced with a swirling end-portal effect
- Netherite Spear — the spear head glows with the void
- Mace — the flanged head reveals the void between its knobs
- Custom teal/gold hilt reskin on all three weapons
- Enchant glint applies to the handle only — the void doesn't glint, it consumes
- Works in inventory, on the ground, and in hand
How it works
Transparent pixels on each weapon's blade/head texture are replaced with real-time end-portal rendering. The handle pixels remain solid, so the grip looks physical while the business end looks like it was forged from the end itself.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.11
- Fabric Loader
- Fabric API
Notes
- Only affects netherite variants
- Other players need
voidin the item's custom name for you to see the effect (you always see it on your own weapons)
