ChatMacros

Bind configured chat messages and slash commands to keyboard shortcuts, with a separate cooldown for each macro.

Set up the current release

  1. Launch Minecraft once with the mod installed, then close the game.
  2. Open config/chatmacros.json and edit the macros list. Each entry has a name, text, and cooldownMs.
  3. Restart Minecraft, then assign each macro a shortcut in Options → Controls.
  4. Press its shortcut while connected to send the message or command.

Example configuration:

{
  "macros": [
    { "name": "Greeting", "text": "Hello!", "cooldownMs": 1000 },
    { "name": "Home", "text": "/home", "cooldownMs": 1000 }
  ]
}

A command such as /home must be provided by the server you are playing on. Choose messages and shortcuts that fit that server's rules.

Installation

Client-side Fabric mod. Choose a file marked for your Minecraft version. Requires Fabric Loader 0.17.2 or newer, Java 21, Fabric API, and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL). Mod Menu is optional for opening settings.
