Use a multipart blockstate system
Can be placed in any configuration but can't be mixed with different corner blocks
Can be waterlogged
Internal face culling
Support rotation/mirroring when generated as part of a structure
Copper corners can oxidise and be waxed
Wooden corners burn and can be used as fuel (5 corners smelt 1 item)
Uses vanilla textures, most resource packs are supported
