GUI Scaler

Minecraft's vanilla GUI Scale option only lets you pick whole numbers — 1, 2, 3, 4. If your screen resolution sits awkwardly between two of those steps, you're stuck with an interface that's either too small to read or too large and wasting screen space.

GUI Scaler unlocks fractional GUI scaling — set your scale to 1.5, 2.3, 2.8, 3.6, or anything in between, from 1.0 up to 4.0, using a smooth slider.

Features Fractional GUI scale slider — precise control from 1.0 to 4.0, not just whole numbers Apply-on-click — drag the slider freely, preview the number, and only commit the change when you hit Apply, so your screen doesn't flicker while adjusting Accessible from vanilla Options — a button on the Video Settings screen opens the scaler directly, no need to remember a keybind Persistent settings — your chosen scale is saved and reloaded automatically on every launch Client-side only — safe to use in singleplayer or on any multiplayer server, no server-side installation required Sodium compatible — works alongside Sodium with no rendering conflicts How it works

Minecraft's window system actually supports fractional scale values internally — vanilla just never exposes them to the player. GUI Scaler taps into that existing capability via a lightweight client-side hook, so there's no hacky rendering workaround involved.

Known limitation

At non-integer scale values, text may render very slightly softer than at whole-number scales, since Minecraft's font textures are optimized for exact integer multiples. This is a minor cosmetic effect and doesn't impact readability at most values.
